Gayle Gregory – Alto
Have sung with Prescott Chorale for 3 years; Loved singing Mozart’s Requiem; Hobbies are hiking, kayaking, and bicycling; I played the oboe from 3rd grade through High School; Came to Prescott for the mild climate, lots of outdoor activities and a small town feeling.
Therese Holladay – Soprano
Sang with Pacific Lyric Opera Association, San Diego Symphony chorus, North County Opera Soiree; Sang the role of Despina in Cosi fan tutte, Berta, the crazy maid in Barber of Seville; Came to Prescott in 2013; Love hiking, kayaking, gardening, adventure traveling; Founded and managed TTS Gospel Choir (Through The Storm Gospel Choir) in San Diego for charity benefit performances.
Daryl Holst – Bass
Snow bird from Washington state; Lived in Germany for nine years while in U.S. Air Force; Was a Prince for ‘Fasching’ (a carnival) in Germany; Loved the German village band experiences playing with our kids and town folks; Enjoy reading and speaking German along with ballroom dancing.
Russell Parker – Tenor
Family has lived in Prescott since 1876; After teaching music for 35 years in Ridgecrest, California, I retired in 2001 and moved to Prescott; Played Trumpet and French Horn, and yes, the accordion with my dad; Singing with Prescott Chorale and the many wonderful folk, is a remarkable Tuesday evening experience to brighten my week; The Parker Performing Arts Center, Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest is named after my wife, a teacher there too, and myself.
Kari Roller – Alto
Sang Verdi’s Requiem in San Diego; Love to hike, walk, bike, travel; Lead a tour of Washington DC for 5th to 12th grade kids (crazy experience but fun); Love to work with special needs people; Soaking up Prescott’s beautiful blue skies and warm weather is motivating. Played piano for 12 years and sang in a lot of ‘cheesy musicals’ which were a lot of fun, really!
Brian Schiff – Bass
Have sung with Gaithersburg, Maryland chorus and in my car; Love to hike, travel, home improvement; Played trumpet until High School; Listened to the book The Fountainhead while driving from Maryland to Prescott; Love Prescott Chorale and ‘progressive’; Just finished a tour of Ireland with my father!
Ann Ramsey – Tenor
Lived and studied in Costa Rica junior year of college; Came to Prescott in 2016 from Kansas City; Passionate about quilting and making buttons completing training to be an art docent for the Prescott Art Docents program; Love watching my grandson Andrew Crust conduct the Portland Maine Symphony Orchestra; Reading Markus Zusak’s book I Am The Messenger was uplifting reminder we are our brother’s keepers; Had dinner in a friend’s home with Vladimer Ashkenazy!
Matthew Newell – Bass
Once sang with a group of young adults under the light of a full moon the desert of southern Israel with no audience but ourselves. Hard to beat that; Singing is an expression of what it means to be human; Volunteer at a local food bank; Play guitar; Yet to find an audience better than a room full of elementary school kids; As Martin Luther said “As long as we live, there is never enough singing.”
